Why We Built This
Every pharmaceutical QC lab runs on the same kind of numbers — Assay results, Dissolution profiles, Blend Uniformity checks, Analytical Method Validation studies. For 15+ years, Erum Farooq generated exactly these numbers inside real, GMP-regulated labs — starting as a Quality Control Analyst and currently serving as Assistant Manager, Quality Control (NPD Analytical Section) at a leading pharmaceutical company. Across that time, one thing stayed the same: almost every one of these calculations was still being done by hand in Excel, rebuilt sheet by sheet for every batch, every method, every level. It works, but it's slow, repetitive, and a single misplaced decimal or wrong cell reference can quietly throw off an entire validation report.
In 2026, that everyday lab problem met a different kind of skill set. Muhammad Asif has been building and maintaining websites since 2018, working across web development and SEO. Erum Farooq knew exactly which formulas, acceptance criteria, and pharmacopeial references — USP, BP, ICH and FDA — each calculator needed to follow; Muhammad Asif's job was to turn that knowledge into something that actually works reliably in a browser, for free, without cutting corners on accuracy.
That partnership is how BestPharmaTools.com came together in May 2026 — one person who has lived the QC math day-to-day for over a decade, and one person who builds and maintains the tools. Every calculator on this platform still passes through the two of us before it goes live, and that hasn't changed since day one.
Meet the Team
I'm the founder and developer of BestPharmaTools.com. My background is in web development, web design, and search engine optimization (SEO), and I handle every part of this platform — from architecting and coding each calculator to keeping the site fast, secure, and easy to find for the lab professionals who need it.
On the development side, I build with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, keeping the entire platform static and frontend-only — no server-side dependencies — so every calculator loads instantly, stays secure, and runs entirely in your browser. On the SEO side, my focus covers on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, along with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — making sure the site is structured well for both traditional search engines and the AI-driven answer engines QC professionals are increasingly searching through. I also handle the platform's visual identity, including logo and interface design, so the site looks as professional as the tools behind it.
My priority is making sure the tools work flawlessly: correct math, clean interfaces, and reports that are clear enough to use as a quick reference alongside your own validated systems.
Erum Farooq brings 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical Quality Control and Analytical Method Validation, currently serving as Assistant Manager, Quality Control (NPD Analytical Section) at a leading pharmaceutical company.
Her hands-on expertise spans Analytical Method Validation (AMV), Comparative Dissolution Profile (CDP) studies, and Pharmaceutical Equivalence (PE) evaluations — all carried out in compliance with USP, BP, and in-house specifications. Day to day, that work has included raw material and finished product testing, stability studies, routine analysis on HPLC, GC, and UV-Visible spectrophotometry, OOS/OOT investigations, and method transfer and verification, along with the regulatory documentation each of these requires. She holds an MSc in Organic Chemistry, and every formula and calculation on this platform is reviewed and verified by her before it goes live.
